The turbo balancing bench represents the best technology to ensure the perfect functionality of the turbocharger according to the OEM parameters provided by the manufacturer.

Our technicians use CIMAT balancing and flow benches that guarantee the perfect functionality of the turbocharger.

Our dynamic test bench, in addition to adjusting the geometry as in common static test benches, allows the measurement (and adjustment) of numerous additional parameters that can cause - if poorly adjusted - faults and malfunctions in reconditioned turbos. 

Adjustments are made based on a database with over 1000 continuously updated turbo codes based on values provided by the turbocharger manufacturer. 

The bench uses patented TurboTest technology and features the Rotortest 610 measurement system whose values are displayed on a touch-screen monitor through which the operator can print the balancing and flow certificates that accompany our turbos.


The dynamic test bench allows for:

Electronic and pneumatic actuator adjustment
Verification of turbine side flow dispersion
Verification of correct coupling between turbine impeller, geometry and turbine housing
Verification of correct coupling between compressor impeller and compressor housing
Verification of correct impeller dimensions
Verification of compressor side compression ratio
Verification of whistling noise
Verification of oil leakage in pressure gradient conditions similar to operating conditions
Verification of compressor side compression ratio

This turbo is specially designed for cars that have already been remapped, where the original turbo becomes unreliable. By installing a larger impeller and a bushing designed for increased lubrication, the risks of overspeed, one of the main causes of turbocharger failure, are reduced..

IMPORTANT

The installation of an upgraded turbo must be carried out by specialists in the sector equipped with professional tools.

To achieve the indicated horsepower gain, it is necessary to intervene on other components of the vehicle, such as the injection control unit, pump, injectors, intercooler, exhaust system (and, if necessary, methanol).

This turbo is not approved for road use but is intended for sports use. The values indicated in the following steps refer to the maximum power delivered on test benches. For the car to reach these values, intervention on the injection, intercooler, exhaust system, and mapping is necessary.

THE ADVANTAGES OF AVIONAL

Avional (or A2000) is an aluminum with specific properties (strength and lightness) that make it suitable for aerospace as well as tuning applications.

The alloy is mainly composed of Copper with added magnesium and manganese, and its particular processing eliminates all normally present oxidation defects.
Subsequent heat treatment gives Avional physical characteristics comparable to carbon steels.

Avional MFS impellers are manufactured on 5-axis CNC machining centers that achieve high speeds to produce aerodynamic blades offering much higher performance than traditional ones and do not use molds, which over time produce impellers with increasing tolerances compared to the design.

These technological solutions offer the best solution to the engineering specifications required by a modern tuned turbocharger.
